About
The International Tang Soo Do Federation™ World Championship is a four day experience that includes a Tournament, Seminars, Dan Promotion Tests, Recertification Tests and an Awards Dinner. International Tang Soo Do Federation members throughout the world come together during this exciting time to gain more knowledge and practice authentic Tang Soo Do, both physically and mentally.
In 2018 the Federation is excited and proud to be holding its 14th World Championship in the capital of the United States, Washington, D. C.

After the 14th World Championship...Special Message from Choong Jae Nim
Congratulations to all participants who took part in the Seminars, Championship, and Black Belt or Masters' Examinations and Recertifications. Regardless of winning or losing, it is what we take away from the time we spent, what we learned and the friendships and bonds we made with other ITF members around the world. Thank you to the parents, families and friends who continually give their support.
A special thank you and recognition goes to Master Derek DePaolis for his tremendous efforts and dedication in hosting the World Championship. Hosting the World Championship is no easy feat, as those who have done in the past know what I mean. There is so much to plan for, including organizing and communicating with the hotel the Championship is taking place at.
I would also like to thank Ms. Kimberly Lawson of the Washington, D. C. Grand Hyatt Hotel for working with us and accommodating the ITF's needs. Thank you to Mrs. Esther Kim and the Dynamics World, Mr. Park's Photography Studio for his services during the the World Championships and to the Maryland Korean Cultural Association for their wonderful Korean dance performances.
Furthermore, special recognition goes to Masters Joseph Bruno, Yong D. Kim, Pat Leach, Dean Kelly, Robert Venturino and Tim Murphy for their unending Tang Soo Do spirit, dedication and hard work in preparing for the 14th World Championship and during the events.
The success of the World Championship is achieved not by one person, but is the realization of many people. Thank you for making the 14th World Championship another great memory.

2016 HALL OF FAME AWARD
Master Joseph Bruno
Master Joseph Bruno started training under Choong Jae Nim Chun Sik Kim in 1975. He started teaching full time in 1979 and is still teaching full time. He has won many Grand Championships and has been selected to the Hall of Fame at Madison Square Gardens in New York and the Hall of Fame in New Jersey. He was the Martial Artist of the Year in 1997. Master Bruno is currently the General Secretary of the International Tang Soo Do Federation and is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee. Master Bruno has appeared with Grand Master Kim on ten covers of various martial arts magazines and was the feature cover and article of Tae Kwon Do Times in January 2001. Master Bruno and his wife, Tina, have two daughters, Lauren and Christine, who have achieved the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt.
